In this example, Demoulas is supplied primarily by C&S Wholesale through their distribution center in Brattleboro VT. This C&S distribution center however also supplies a number of other retailers. Demoulas is also supplied in part by Millbrook Distributing as well as the manufacturer shipping direct, thus attempting to align the C&S distribution center to this or any other ACN trading area would be inaccurate and misleading.

The PDM Data Integration Engine solves this issue by utilizing TDLinx™ best practice methodology to align and adjust this data geographically. Additionally, PDM Business Solutions provides alignment of products and periods in order to produce overall accurate alignment of data. Shipments are adjusted to reflect the proper percentage of shipments going into this trading area then matched against the corresponding ACN consumption data.

This example shows an analysis of consumption vs. shipments for a customer that does not exist in the manufacturer’s hierarchy and is otherwise unavailable to the manufacturer. Peaks in both shipments and consumption are results of promotions.
